Zathura

Zathura (Special Edition) Henry and I went to JFK to pick up his dad last night, he recently returned from a trip to China. Anyway, we had to head over to Brooklyn to get his Dad’s Pilot. We got there early, so we flipped through the TV and landed on Zathura. It probably had an hour to go, so we started watching it.

Let me just say, it is going to be the next Netflix we get. We watched the rest of the movie and now need to know what happened in the beginning. It’s about two brothers and their teenage sister (who was useless). The brothers are Walter and Danny, Walter is the older one. The actor who played Water over-acted a bit, the actor who played Danny was adorable. There was also an astronaut, not sure where he came from. The bad guys in the movie looked like dinosaurs.

From what I understand, the brothers are playing a game that put them into space. They have to finish the game to get back home. But, of course, something happens and the physically lose the game and need to get it back, to finish it. There was a plot twist, but of course, I ran to the bathroom then, not expecting anything exciting to happen. And this being a kid’s movie, they eventually return home. It sounds like your basic kids movie plotline, but it kept Henry, his mom and me interested till the end.

What Does SUV Stand For?

The other night Henry and I went to Kodama for dinner. It was enjoyable and as usual we got too much food. There was a couple next to us with a Japanese girl and a Caucasian man. They were pretty close to us so we could hear their conversation really clearly, also the guy was pretty loud. So he started talking about SUV’s and the girl had no clue what he was talking about, so he was like SUV, “You know Suburban something Vehicle, Suburban All-Terrain Vehicle!” I was trying to not laugh out loud, Henry kept his composure even better. I can he didn’t realize he had a SAV or an SATV. Then he finally realizes his mistake and says Suburban Utility Vehicle, which is still wrong and I’m silently giggling, good thing I was next to him, so he couldn’t see. Finally he realized it was still wrong and asked the women next to them on the other side who told him it wasn’t suburban but couldn’t remember what it was supposed to be. Between the two of them they finally figured out that SUV stood for Sport Utility Vehicle.

It was an amusing dinner for us!

Bathroom Etiquette in the Office

Lately at work, there have been problems with etiquette using the bathroom. The major one is that someone likes to line the toilet seat with toilet paper, but when they flush, they don’t flush that toilet paper and leave the toilet lined instead.

Why does this person think someone else will want to remove the toilet paper for them? It’s just gross, I wouldn’t touch it. And our floor isn’t huge and we don’t have that many females, so with the process of elimination, it really wouldn’t be that hard to figure out who the culprit is.

I was thrilled that someone put up a sign by the sinks to address this issue. But of course, I went to the bathroom later in the afternoon, and sure enough, toilet paper lined on the toilet seat. Now, the only thing left to do is to call out the person. I put up a sign in the specific stall now. Originally what I had was more on the mean side, so Nick edited it and made it more PC. Let’s hope this works!

Pop the Balloons

Steve sent out an e-mail to the Shams about an online game where you pop balloons. He says it’s pretty addictive and he got up to leave 32. I haven’t tried playing it yet, but after Henry saw that e-mail, all I heard were the damn balloons popping.
