I had no clue until Cora mentioned it yesterday, but on the weekend of February 10, there will be no 7 train service from Times Square to Queensboro Plaza. The next six weeks after that, there will be no 7 train service from Times Square to 74th Street-Roosevelt Avenue. So the MTA is telling us for the next seven weekends starting February 10, don’t go into Flushing. One article I read said there are a lot of pissed people who are/were planning to go to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
I don’t know who thought this was a good idea, but the people should actually move to a stop on the 7 train to see what a “good idea” it really is. I’m sure a lot of people would like to personally thank them, around 200k+ that rely on it on the weekends.
