Henry was flipping channels and we caught the beginning of Saturday Night Live with Alec Baldwin hosting. The skit we saw had Steve Martin, Martin Short and Paul McCartney. Then we flipped and saw Lisa Edelstein on Without a Trace
. Henry asked where she was from so I told him House, but he didn’t recognize her from Seinfeld, she was the one who loved her cous cous and was going out with George.
Then Henry flipped to another channel and we saw a younger William Petersen. It was a very un-Gil Grissom type character. He was a lot younger than, I think 33, and thinner too. A quick search on IMDB and I figured it was To Live and Die in LA. It also starred William Dafoe, John Turturro, Robert Downey Sr., John Pankow (from Mad About You), Jane Leeves and Dean Stockwell (from Quantum Leap
). From the small clip we saw, it was a pretty bad movie. I think William Petersen was a cop and was pushing and shoving people and holding a gun on people and shot someone. Again very un-Gil Grissom like. I guess it’s safe to say that To Live and Die in LA didn’t make William Petersen’s career.
