Henry and I ordered in today from Island Burgers and Shakes. It was one of the menus we picked up after we had Turkish Cuisine. I got a Tijuana burger (bacon, jack, guacamole, onion) and Henry got a South of the Border burger (jack, salsa, guacamole, jalapeño) and we split a classic baked potato (bacon, butter, sour cream, cheddar, chives). Note, they do not have french fries. They have an explanation on the menu, at first they didn’t have enough money for the fryer and stuff and then they couldn’t get enough electricity or gas and their kitchen was too tiny. Too bad, what’s a burger without fries!?

Anyway, the burgers were good, but very messy to eat. There wasn’t enough cheese on either of our burgers. Henry’s jalapeños were spicy and he eats spicy. My guacamole tasted a little spicy too. Also we asked for both burgers to be medium, but mine looked a little undercooked, even for medium. The baked potato was definitely big, but not enough cheddar and only a sprinkle of chives. All in all, the food was decent and they delivered it very quickly. I would order from them again, and the next time, I think I’ll try their chicken churascos sandwiches.
