Great Bumper Sticker

I stumbled upon this site that has the best bumper stickers. The bumper sticker says “I Park Like An Idiot.com” and they can be purchased at iparklikeanidiot.com. I am so tempted to buy me a 20-pack because the people around here cannot park for their lives. I was waiting for Nora once and saw a woman back into my car. I went across the street and she backed into it again so I started yelling at her to stop hitting my car, meanwhile she is still reversing into my car. So I keep yelling, “Stop hitting my car!” at her and when she gets out of the car (while she is over a foot away from the curb), she just smiles at me. No apologies or anything. I’ve already pointed out her Corolla to Henry so he knows not to park near her. And of course, a week later I see her driver side mirror duct-taped on. The bumper sticker would be really useful to her and all the other drivers who likes to hog two spots or the ones that are half on the curb. I would have so much fun with them!

Pet Peeves at the Driving Range

Henry, Perry and I went to the driving range. I got to test out my Taylor Made r7 Driver and r7 Fairway Wood. Golfsmith is having a deal, in July, where if you buy the driver, you get the fairway wood or the Rescue Dual for free, so I did, which still bugs Henry. The r7 is a driver is bigger than his r5 by 20 cc. I did better with it then with my original Wilson driver, but I am by no means good with it, but I figure with some practice and if I gain some more strength, I hope to get better/good with it, or Henry will kill me. =(

Anyway, when I’m at the driving range, I just want to work on my form and hope I hit the balls straight. What I hate are seeing girls there with tops on that barely cover anything and with any wrong swing, something will pop out, or when they are wearing platform shoes or stilettos or flip flops with soles that are as thick as paper. If that’s how you’re going to dress, go play mini-golf. But of course these girls usually come with a guy or a group of guys who will tell them every swing is amazing even though they can’t even hit it straight. And the best lines I heard tonight was, “With the roll, you hit at least an extra 100 yards” and “I’ve never seen a girl hit the ball that hard before.” It annoys me that there are girls out there that are so stupid that if they hit all the way to the right or left and a guy tells them that was a great swing, they actually believe it and think they are good. Why are there such stupid girls out there?? I would hate it if Henry told me every swing was good, I’m glad he doesn’t. He’s truthful and that’s the only way I’ll get any better, but I guess those girls don’t care about getting better since they think they are pretty amazing already with their low v-necked tops and they’re very un-athletic shoes. Makes me wish the driving ranges I go to would start instating a dress code.

Delays on the 7

Going home from work on Tuesday-Thursday, there were constant delays on the 7 (and other lines). It was a pain going into Queens. But every night while sitting (or standing on the platforms) in those delays, I wondered if the Mets had home games (they were playing in Cinncinnati), would the delays have lasted that long? Or if it was time for the US Open, would more have been done to make sure those people going to the games would not be inconvenienced? I feel horrible for those 100k customers in Queens still without power for the fifth day. If that happened in Flushing, during the US Open, would we really have five days without power? Then you also have to think about the residents that are still in the blackout and the residents along the 7 line. Would we be more important if we were living in more wealthy neighborhoods? Would it make a difference if we were not mostly minorities? I don’t have the answers (someone should do a study), but come US Open time, I will be seeing if we have any delays on the 7 line.
