24 Day 5 - 4:00 PM-5:00 PM

I wonder if Aaron is dying in this episode of 24. I hope not, but we see him get into the limo and from last week’s previews and commercials we know a limo gets shot out with a missle.

Henry thinks it’s a good idea for Martha to get into the limo because the season has gotten slow and this will add some more excitement. I love seeing President Logan all flustered and confused. Where do we find presidents like that, it would never really happen. Oh wait, there’s one serving the his second term now. Why do all the First Lady’s have to be manipulating and conniving? Convince the terrorist to hold off? Who does he think he is, the President really means nothing. I loved Mike laying down the law for the President.

Oh there goes the girl they just introduced. Henry thought she was cute, but I don’t see it.

Henry thinks Joanna Tandy is cute too. Why is accounting assumed to be downstairs? My accounting isn’t even in my building, it’s in another state. Guess Christopher Henderson is a smart man.

Commercial Break: A 24 video game! Isn’t it kind of late for it now? It would have made more sense after season one.

Oh no, Lynn is going to ignore the chatter about the threat to the Russian President. Why are they making Lynn fall apart now? He was okay in the beginning but now he’s going nutty.

Lynn is not going to notice both Chloe and Edgar have disappeared? Now Edgar is the one who is by the books and Chloe is just disregarding rules, like Jack would do.

Wow! Audrey is manipulative too, but I don’t mind it as much. Actually I don’t mind at all. And Curtis is weak. He doesn’t look that hard to break.

Lynn is completely crazy. Yes, Curtis did it. Seriously, who would be doing any work if Curtis, Audrey, Bill, Chloe and Edgar are all in custody. How will they get any work done that way. Lynn is all nutty.

Now things are getting exciting. This is what I love about 24. I want the excitment and action again. What is the President going to do now that CTU knows about the possible hit on the motorcade? Good save Mike. “Thank you, you’ve done a good job” and then you hang up? Yup, that’s a President that I want to stand behind.

Martha is going to be all happy because she’s going to think the President did it for her when really he was going to let her die. She is going to be one furious lady when she finds out. There goes Aaron, I really liked him the past few seasons. Isn’t the limo bullet proof? Yes, Aaron is still alive and managed to shot some of the bad guys dead. He looks like he will live through the rest of this hour, and hopefully for the rest of this day.

COMMERICAL BREAK: Prison Break, Wentworth Miller is so hot.

Henry thinks Henderson is going to die walking into the bunker. But I don’t think so. Buchanan’s a stiff? So was Henderson innocent back then? I like the mention of Nina Meyers and George Mason. Poor George Mason. He was a good man. No, don’t trust Henderson. Stupid Jack, stupid! You shouldn’t have trusted him! Yes, Jack, how could you be so stupid? Who was the girl on the other line with Henderson?

Well we know Jack will survive, he’s the star of the show, they really really can’t kill him yet. Maybe they’ll try again at the end of the season (or China will).

NEXT WEEK: 2 New Hours? I don’t know what else because Henry refuses to watch the previews because Fox reveals too much, and doesn’t really care that I want to see the previews. I don’t mind things getting ruined. He’s a remote nazi.

Wedding Crashers

Wedding Crashers - Uncorked (Unrated Widescreen Edition)When Wedding Crashers was first coming out I really wanted to see it and I think I tried once but tickets were sold out. I finally watched it on DVD when Henry and I went to visit Samantha and the kids. The kids didn’t watch, they were sleeping. From watching the commercials, I really thought I would hate Gloria (Isla Fisher), but I actually liked her. Rachel McAdams was cute in the movie, but I think she looks better with a lighter hair color. Bradley Cooper was a really good ass, totally different from Will Tippin, his Alias character. Chrisotpher Walken seemed less scary than usual. Jane Seymour was very un-Dr. Quinn. Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson were their usual selves.

The movie starts like a guy’s movie but ends as a chick flick. The storyline is pretty ridiculous, but you shouldn’t be taking this movie too seriously. There were so many hilarious lines and what couldn’t go wrong for Jeremy (Vaughn). The best was when Gloria tied him to the bed and had her way with him and then her brother comes in professing his feelings to Jeremy, and that painting he did of Jeremy and then the dad walks in to check on Jeremy, while he is still tied to the bed.

It was a good movie if you don’t want something too deep and you just want to laugh. From crashing weddings to crashing funerals to actually getting married and the cameo by Will Ferrell, it was 119 minutes well spent.

Morimotos

Henry and I went to Morimotos again, he had a gift certificate we had to spend. We went to the one in Philly again and convinced Samantha to go with us. (We went last May with a few friends and actually got to take a few photos with Masaharu Morimoto himself.)Samantha got the $120 Omakase, I got the $80 Omakase and Henry ordered separate items.

There is a different between the $120 and $80 Omakase. Differences like toro vs yellowtail, lobster vs. scallops, and kobe beef and foie gras vs. rock shrimp tempura (tasted like the Chinese mayo shrimp with walnuts, without the mayo and walnuts). Henry got a tuna pizza (needed more sauce), black miso cod (which he’s loved since he tried it at Nobu), sauteed foie gras (very yummy) and raw scallops.

Our reservation was at 10:15pm, we got there late, at 10:30pm and waited till close to 11pm for our table. The eaml didn’t end for us till around 1am. Our waiter seemed a little snooty and we were not offered the opportunity to check our coats. If you’re going to do valet parking, it was $14 for Friday night. We parked around the corner in front of a candy store. I do not suggest that again. When we came back out there was some liquid poured all over our car, probably some syrup or sugar mixture. It wasn’t on any other car, just ours.

President’s Day Weekend

We were able to get a small group together to celebrate President’s Day Weekend. How else would we celebrate it? Karaoke at Sing Sing! It was fun time for all that showed up, as usual, just look at the pics!

CSI - Pirates of the Third Reich

This episode of CSI had the return of Lady Heather (Melinda Clarke) and some gruesome parts. Henry and I have stopped trying to eat dinner and watch CSI at the same time, but I couldn’t even eat a piece of chocolate while watching this episode. The victim we’re introduced to is a bald female with a tattoo on her arm and part of an arm is missing. While performing the autopsy, Dr. Robbins and David discover that she had an eye transplant and one of her eyes belongs to a sex offender who was recently released from prison. Turns out the girl is Lady Heather’s estranged daugher.

This was truly a twisted episode. Lady Heather’s daughter, Zoe, checked into a sleep study and was somehow taken by one of the doctor’s at the clinic. The eye transplant that she has comes from another patient from the sleep study, who was the sex offender and also is branded on the arm. Now it gets weirder. They bring the doctor in for questioning and then find him dead (and frozen) in his car. Unbeknownst to Lady Heather, she tells Grissom she slept with the doctor the day before and got a DNA sample for them to use. They use the sample and find out that there are two men who are twin brothers and the live one experiented on his twin (who also has a brand) and then killed him and took over his life. The doctor apparently has been experimenting on people for awhile now and has documented all his experients. His last experiment involved sewing together two Asian males back-to-back.

Just a very sick episode. But I loved seeing Lady Heather again and would like to see her again on more episodes.

Side note: I would like to see Grissom (William Petersen) get with over over Catherine (Marg Helgenberger)and Sara (Jorja Fox), but if it was between Catherine and Sara, it’s definitely Catherine, though I wouldn’t mind if he was paired with Sophia (Louise Lombard) over Catherine and Sara, she seems more of a neutral pick.
